375 Days of Israeli Strikes in Gaza, Loss of Life and Destruction Growing
Israel’s land, air and naval attacks on the Gaza Strip have been going on for 375 days non-stop. In these attacks, which are particularly intensified in the northern parts of Gaza, the Israeli army is using new technologies and lethal means, causing great loss of life and destruction. According to the Palestinian government, bomb-laden robots, explosives planted in water barrels and unmanned aerial vehicles (quadcopters) are used during the attacks. These vehicles cause massive destruction and human casualties in civilian settlements.
Israel’s New Attack Tactics
Palestinian government official Sevabite made shocking statements about the Israeli army’s methods of attack in northern Gaza. He said that Israel uses bomb-laden robots in the streets and residential areas, which are remotely controlled to target infrastructure and buildings. Water barrels and tanks filled with explosives are also detonated when Palestinians approach, creating a great danger.
Israel also uses warplanes to bomb houses and drones to fire on any moving creature. These deadly technologies hit not only military targets but also civilians. More than 350 people were killed and hundreds were wounded in the attacks that continued for 10 days. While the attacks have caused serious humanitarian crises in the region, it is stated that even medical teams are not allowed to reach the wounded. The inability to treat the wounded is causing the death toll to rise further.
International Response and Israel’s Supporters
It is alleged that the US, UK, Germany, France and Germany are behind the Israeli attacks on Gaza. Palestinian official Sevabite called on international organizations and world leaders to put pressure on Israel to stop these attacks as soon as possible. Sevabite stated that Israel’s attacks against the Palestinian people are a genocide and that the lethal means used clearly reflect this intention.
These violent incidents in the Gaza Strip have also drawn international attention. Many human rights organizations and non-governmental organizations have condemned Israel’s attacks on civilians and demanded urgent steps to stop this violence. However, to date, there has not been sufficient international intervention to stop the attacks.
The wounded are left to die
In the ongoing attacks in the northern parts of Gaza, civilians as well as health workers are being targeted. The Israeli army is preventing first aid and civil defense teams from reaching the attack areas, leaving the wounded to die. This is a violation of civil rights in violation of international human rights norms. Palestinian officials say that health and aid organizations in the region are facing serious problems, and that even basic health services cannot be provided.
The destruction in Gaza has destroyed infrastructure and buildings, making it impossible to meet basic needs such as water and electricity. Children and the elderly are among the most affected groups. The attacks are not only physically but also psychologically traumatizing the people of Gaza.
