PKK Claims Responsibility for Terror Attack on TAI: Immediate Retaliation Against Targets
PKK claimed responsibility for the treacherous terrorist attack against Turkish Aerospace Industries Inc (TAI) in Ankara. In the attack, 5 security guards were martyred and 22 people were wounded. Following the incident, the National Intelligence Organization (MİT) and the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) launched large-scale operations against the terrorist organization. MİT hit more than 120 targets belonging to the PKK/YPG. Turkey has announced that it will continue its operations against these terrorist attacks that threaten the country’s security.
Attack Claimed by PKK
In a statement released by the so-called “People’s Defense Center” of the terrorist organization PKK, it was stated that the attack against TAI was carried out with “Apoist sacrificial spirit”. The statement also included the identities of the terrorists who carried out the attack. The male terrorist was identified as PKK member Ali Örek and the female terrorist as Mine Sevjin Alçiçek.
Immediate Retaliation After the Attack
Immediately after the treacherous attack, MİT launched a comprehensive operation against the PKK/YPG in coordination with the Turkish Armed Forces. According to security sources, 120 targets belonging to the PKK/YPG were successfully hit as part of the operations carried out by MİT. The operations targeted the organization’s shelters, ammunition depots and command centers in Iraq and Syria. Officials stated that the operations will continue until the terrorist threat is completely eliminated.
Terrorists’ Caves Entered by Turkish Armed Forces Operations
The Ministry of National Defense (MND) announced the contribution of the Turkish Armed Forces to the operations with posts on its social media account. The Turkish Armed Forces raided terrorists’ shelters in the Hakurk region in northern Iraq and identified caves where terrorists were hiding. “Our commandos captured many weapons and ammunition belonging to terrorists in the caves,” the Ministry of National Defense said. Among the ammunition found were anti-tank and air defense missiles, revealing the extent of the threat.
Response to the Wounded and Security Measures
Of the 22 people wounded in the attack on TAI, 14 were discharged after their treatment at hospitals. It is reported that some of the wounded are still undergoing treatment. Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya stated that the identities of the perpetrators of this terrorist attack have been clarified and operations will continue.

Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya made a statement after the treacherous attack and said, “One of the terrorists who organized the attack against TAI has been identified as Ali Örek and the other as Mine Sevjin Alçiçek. We are determined to scrape this terrorist organization, which aims at the peace of our country, from our lands.” Yerlikaya wished Allah’s mercy to the martyrs and wished the wounded to recover as soon as possible.
