Erdoğan: Turkey’s Unique Projects Gain Strength in Global Race

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made important statements in the field of science and technology at the TÜBİTAK and TÜBA Awards Ceremony held at the Beştepe National Congress and Culture Center. Erdoğan stated that Turkey is focusing on original projects in order to increase its success in the scientific field and have a say in the global competition, and stated that these projects will increase the strategic power of the country.

Emphasis on Encouragement for Scientific Studies
President Erdoğan drew attention to the encouraging effect of the awards given to scientists and said that scientific achievements should be supported. Erdoğan said, “Not every work that is not appreciated loses any of its value, but encouragement ensures that achievements grow exponentially. We have to encourage our young scientists and academics for bigger projects.”

He stated that these awards encourage not only scientists but also all segments of society to show more interest in science and technology.

Quantum Computer and Chip Production
The President emphasized that Turkey’s success in the defense industry also sets an example for other high-technology areas. Referring to Turkey’s first quantum computer, which was introduced last month, Erdoğan stated that this technology is a strategic move in global competition.

“We aim to become an independent country in technology with projects such as quantum computer and chip production. Such independent projects are the key to the future in the global race,” said Erdoğan, and indicated that work in this area will be accelerated.

Defense Industry and Technological Investments
Erdoğan also touched on the importance of defense industry projects Togg and KAAN, and said that these projects were implemented with determination despite criticism. “Projects such as Togg and KAAN were completed despite criticism and became a source of pride for our country. We take criticism into consideration, but we always prioritize the interests and goals of our country,” he said.

Erdoğan also stated that the education infrastructure throughout the country has been strengthened, and that the number of universities has been increased from 76 to 208, and 130 technology workshops have been established.

2053 and 2071 Vision
The President said that the 2053 and 2071 visions, which include Turkey’s future goals, are based on investments made in young people and scientists. He said, “Turkey will not be satisfied with local successes. We will continue to move forward with confident steps for a stronger country. Our 2053 and 2071 goals are the most concrete examples of this determination.”

Addressing the youth, Erdoğan emphasized that they should show more interest in science and technology and invited them to assume important roles in Turkey’s future successes.

Conclusion: A Strong Turkey in Science and Technology
The messages President Erdoğan gave at the TÜBİTAK and TÜBA Awards Ceremony clearly reveal Turkey’s goal of rising to an independent and strong position in the field of science and technology. The support given to scientists, original projects and strategic investments aim to make Turkey one of the pioneers of global competition in the future.
