During his speech at the forum, Minister Bolat announced the discussion of new collaboration opportunities aimed at further deepening the economic relations between the two countries. He highlighted the goal of increasing trade volume to 3 billion dollars in the short term, and subsequently to 5 billion dollars, emphasizing the critical importance of cooperation in areas such as green transformation, digitalization, and mobility to achieve these targets. Bolat invited Slovak companies to take advantage of the investment opportunities offered by Turkey, underscoring Turkey’s economic dynamism, strategic location, and strong trade network.

The signing of the Founding Declaration of the Turkey-Slovakia Economy and Trade Joint Committee (ETOK/JETCO) was one of the forum’s highlights. The trade volume reaching 2.3 billion dollars in 2023 stands as an indicator of the existing economic cooperation. Minister Bolat expressed that this success reflects the mutual determination of both countries to further strengthen their economic ties.

There is significant potential for collaboration, especially in the automotive, innovation, information technology, and renewable energy sectors.
